I have had the privilege of studying industrial engineering and management science at the esteemed Technical University in Eindhoven. In 1992, I took an exciting step by introducing the Harvard Case Method to the Netherlands, which led me to engage with the brilliant minds at Harvard and MIT. This endeavor inspired me to develop several master’s programs for various universities and to create two PhD research proposals. That same year, I proudly founded Buro Staff Support, my first professional community, which ignited my passion for fostering collaboration. Since then, I’ve embarked on an entrepreneurial journey, launching several companies and supporting numerous professional communities along the way.

In recent years, I’ve seen these communities actively embrace the innovative Double-Track Innovation Strategy. Utilizing the Community Model Canvas and the Digital Assembly Line, this approach resonates with the knowledge I’ve gained from extensive research and diverse projects.

My unique path allows me to bridge the worlds of science and practice. I thrive as an entrepreneur, international keynote speaker, strategic consultant, and (co-)author of fifteen management books. With over 30 years of rich experience, I focus on designing and developing new organizational forms that effectively respond to our ever-changing socio-economic, political contexts, and emerging technologies. My expertise in data-driven organizing and ecosystem development spans across various industries, making my work all the more impactful.

As the founder and CEO of Weconet Technologies BV, situated in the vibrant High Tech Campus of Brainport Eindhoven, I maintain a thoughtful yet optimistic outlook on the current AI developments. Our specialization is in designing, prototyping, and developing responsible decentralized AI solutions, seamlessly integrated into the digital assembly line. We prioritize the use of reliable, secure data, ensuring good governance while promoting decentralization. Our mission is to reduce costs, counteract misinformation, and lessen dependency on big tech, all while fostering trust, enhancing productivity, and striving for a more human-centered world.

Additionally, I take great pride in my role as a fellow, founder, and chairman of the Weconomics Foundation. Weconomics brings together innovators, builders, and leaders to forge a sustainable, digital, decentralized, and human-centric future. Our robust network comprises hundreds of partners dedicated to our mission of “Work Less, Achieve More” and the ambitious goal of “Halving office work within one generation.” With over 600 events, 170 projects, and 22 startups, Weconomics is eager to contribute to a more sustainable, digital, and humane world.
